Here are a few Alexandria, VA shingle roof replacement projects we’ve done.

The roof below wasn’t leaking that the owners could see, but it was pretty close to the end of its useful life. The shingles used to be a cloudy gray color but over time stains and algae took over the roof. Roofs are more aesthetically important on houses with steeper roofs because you can see more of it. We did this house last week; the roofing in Vienna VA. The owners were torn on color selection so I brought out a few of their top four choices and put them up on the garage roof. The look of the shingles can vary depending on the angle of the sun- so after a few days my clients were positive they’d like the color after seeing it through a few sunrises and sunsets. Laying shingle samples on the roof is a great way to make sure our clients will be happy with their new roof. [Read more…]

The existing roof was an old flat seam tin metal roof that had rusted through in a few spots- there was really no saving it. Since the material is no longer being manufactured my client was looking at other options but wasn’t finding anything that would match the upper roof. [Read more…]
This cedar shake roof was replaced with Timberline Weathered Wood shingles. The roof is about 25 years old and was pretty close to the end of it’s useful life; although not leaking yet some of the shakes had blown off during high winds. [Read more…]
